Well done to all the triathletes who participated in our GoTri children’s triathlon and a big thank you to the parents for bringing you and cheering you on. We hope that you had as much fun racing as we did watching you race and the smiles as you crossed the line. Here are the complete results from today’s event:

Aquathlon results 2019

This popular fun and friendly event is a great opportunity for children and adults to try out a multi-sport event.  Melbourn Sports Centre is a fantastic base which allows for a pool swim and a safe location for the bike and the run on the adjacent field.

The event will be split into 4 events for children and one youth/adult event:

Children’s duathlon for 4-7 year olds will start at 12.30pm.  Cycle 200m, Run 100m.

Aquathlon (16+ years) will start at 1.00pm. Swim 280m and Run 3K.

Children’s triathlon for 8 to 9 year olds will start at 2.00pm. Swim 40m, Cycle 1K and Run 500m.

Children’s triathlon for 10 to 11 year olds will start at 2.15pm. Swim 60m, Cycle 1K and Run 500m.

Children’s triathlon for 12 to 15 year olds will start at 2.30pm. Swim 100m, Cycle 1K and Run 500m.

Register and rack beforehand and registration opens at 12.00. Please attend your race briefings which will be shortly before your event starts. 

Age taken as at 31st December of the year of the event. Participants must bring all their own equipment.

Swim wear and goggles required for the swimming segment. ‘Trisuits’ can be worn, if preferred. Helmets and road worthy bikes are compulsory for the cycling segment. No helmet, no race. Knee/elbow pads and gloves are optional extras which are allowed while cycling.Trainers are recommended for the cycling and running segments.

Parking outside the sports centre – extra parking in the village. Changing facilities and limited lockers (purchase token from reception) are available. Registration will be in the community centre from 12pm on the 14th September – bikes and helmets will be checked at this time and race numbers allocated. Registration will close at 12:30pm for the aquathlon and duathlon and at 1:30pm for the triathlon.

Registering with GO TRI for the first time? Ensure that the registration uses the competitor’s details – name, email address, date of birth etc.  Please note: each entrant needs to sign up with their own email address.
